The results showed that the ‘active’ environments - the ocean and the mountains - were the most invigorating, and the places we relax in, like beaches and fields and meadows,
were the most peaceful.
We tend to remember moods and feelings associated with happy times, like holidays and childhood. With a little bit of thought, we can recreate those feelings at home, taking those colours and smells and clues, and using them indoors to create the atmosphere we want.
